Texas Teaming With Bluebonnets

Bluebonnets

Even though Indian paintbrushes and evening primroses have started to bloom in Texas, bluebonnets are getting the most love and attention.

The bluebonnet is Texas’ state flower and it is making its first appearance. Some are already taking first pictures of the flowers they’ve managed to grow, while others are groaning with disappointment if theirs have not bloomed, yet.

Owner of Heartfelt Photography, Susan Laver says, “It makes a beautiful picture.” At this time of year she is overwhelmed with requests to take pictures of family and children in patches of bluebonnets.

This flower is fairly rare, so this is why they are so well-loved and while many adore it, most have difficulty getting them to grow in their own gardens.
