Rare Flower the Star of Chicago Musical
Recently, quite a show was put on at Chicago’s Civic Opera House as a part of the Divine Performing Arts 2009 World Tour.
Hair designer Lynnesa Lovett Bey, a Chicago native, said, “This show is excellent and this is the first time I’ve ever seen any show like this. I really enjoyed the colours, and the overall performance of the show. It was fantastic and took me to China.”
The performance is about the udumbara, which is a special spiritual flower that only blooms once every three thousand years. This was part of, “The Udumbara’s Bloom” was the most fascinating for Ms. Bey, “I feel that I learned a lot about Chinese culture that I did not know before. For example, that there are different ethnic races within the Chinese culture, like Mongolia and Tibet.”
