Planting Flowers for Loved Ones
Memorial Day is a holiday that is celebrated by most Americans. This is a time they use to remember loved ones and those who have served in wars of the past.
It is a tradition to plant flowers at the graves of ancestors, often in a box that is called a Memorial Day box. Many families take the time to plant an entire tree or shrub to remember their loved ones. By planting flowers and trees, people are able to keep the memory of a loved one alive, even after such a holiday has passed.
The weather at this time of year is ideal for planting, there is a lot of sunshine and warm weather to help plants sprout from the fresh soil.
Though Memorial Day has passed, gardeners should take this opportunity to get planting and to continue caring for the flowers they already have growing.
