Macy's Annual Flower Show Fun for Pets and Plants
The annual spring flower show at Macy’s was kicked off with a treat for pet lovers. There were hamsters in tiny sun dresses, while Chihuahuas in top hats impressed audiences.
Amanda Mercado, 15, stole the show with her hamster Cookie and her revealing spring outfit. Mercado says, “I got her from school. My teacher said if you pass all your classes, you can keep the hamster.”
This is Macy’s 35 annual flower show and it will be running through April 19th. This year with the beautiful weather – dogs, cats, hamsters and birds were also out among the blooms to enjoy the sun.
The Chihuahua dressed as the “Mad Hatter,” was the winner of the show, taking home a year’s worth of dog food; while a cat dressed in a bumblebee outfit was the winner of the Cat’s Meow award.
Flowers and pets alike were out with their owner to enjoy spring, regardless of prizes involved…
