Fun, Festive Halloween Flower Arrangements

Create your own delightfully Halloween-y flower arrangements. This Halloween, you’re not limited to spine-tingling decorations or spooky costumes. Make your home festive, fun and brimming full of Autumn spirit with these truly wonderful seasonal flower arrangements.

The Autumn Bounty Arrangement

There are spooky and less spooky versions, but this Halloween and autumn DIY flower arrangement is relatively simple to construct. You can fill a homemade “candy corn” patterned funnel made of orange, white and yellow felt fabrics. Then you just add dried grasses, millet, branches, twigs, orange gerberas and Asiatic lilies. Or use a seasonal cornucopia.

Get super creative and a little eerie by adding tiny black crows or miniature bats. Place this awesome Halloween decoration on your doorstep or hang it up to greet guests and scare neighbors!

Calla lilies, Dahlia and Limonium Pumpkin Vase

Sweet and soft, this arrangement is ideal if you’re after an alternative colour palette for Halloween (but still very much an autumn theme). Create your own pumpkin vase for a table centrepiece or flower arrangement around the house by hollowing out a wide, light brown, white or more neutral two-tone pumpkin. Fill it up with assorted lilies, round and textured dahlias and purple limonium.

Yarrow & Aster Autumn Floral Display

Ceramic pots and planters are already the perfect Halloween colours. You can always dip into your spring gardening supplies if you find that you have too many flowers and not enough pumpkins or gourds. Arrange your orange or burnt sienna yarrow flowers in the vase and then add the lavender aster.

Another great option: for a monochrome flower arrangement, try bright yellow hypericum!

Blush Roses and Black Bats or Feathers

Really take advantage of simple colour contrasts with this fun and slightly creepy arrangement. Combine pink or bi-color blush roses with little black bats or, instead, artfully placed black feathers. You should be able to find both at your local crafts store. For an extra spooky touch, sprinkle a handful of plastic black spiders at the base of your Halloween display.

The Halloween Terrarium

This Halloween take on terrariums is the cutest thing ever! First make sure you have a mason jar or a large fishbowl on hand. Go to your local crafts store and see what they have in stock. Set up a tiny graveyard using gravel as a base layer, then black-painted wood chips as tombstones. Add a little bit of moss. Mini witches, Draculas and Frankenstein monsters are also a great cast of characters with which you can fill up your Halloween terrarium.

Put Your Gourds to Grand Use

Green gourds and fairy tale pumpkins make fantastic vases. Simply hollow out the gourd and fill it with a flower of your choice. Let us at London florist Flowers 24 Hours recommend burnished red chrysanthemums with orange and yellow accented petals, or a mixed floral bouquet of blush dahlias and red roses.
