Flowers Springing Up on the Catwalk
Flowers are not just starting to appear in backyards, they are also making their way into fashion. Flowers are almost always a hot trend for spring. After a long season of dark wintery designs, floral prints are the best way to bring life into any closet. This year fashion designers are bringing more floral patterns to fashion than ever.
Dolce & Gabbana went for the romantic by putting cream roses on the prints for their ball gowns. Nicole Fahri added diluted water-colour prints to her line, while Luella took the rout of adding small clusters of flowers to bodices.
Though flowers are a definite hit for this season, be careful when sporting them yourself. Remember, never choose a bold pattern from head-to-toe. If you are wearing a printed dress, try pairing it with a denim jacket or a solid cardigan. This means avoiding flowery accessories as well, putting flowers with flowers, is something that needs to be left to the catwalk.
