Coweta County Hydrangeas Looking for a New Home

Coweta County Hydrangeas Looking for a New HomeIn Coweta County, Georgia, hydrangea bushes have bloomed each spring in front of the courthouse for years. This year will be a bit different as they will be moving to a new home due to a restoration project that is to take place.

The Coweta County Master Gardeners have lovingly replanted these flowers, making them available for local homeowners to purchase.

The gardeners will be selling the flowers this weekend and each plant will sell at about $20. Those who are looking for an excellent Mother’s Day gift will find it here as these orphaned flowers are both beautiful and will last for more than few weeks.

The Coweta County Master Gardeners will receive the proceeds from the sales. They do a lot of voluntary work in the community, and the money will be used to develop other programs such as the operation of an educational greenhouse and additional funding for the Master Gardener Scholarship, which goes to Coweta County high-school seniors who wish to pursue a career in horticulture, agriculture or environmental science…
