Cherry Blossoms and Camellias Blooming Near Taipei
It has become clear that the flower season in Yangmingshan has started. In Taipei cherry blossoms and camellias have been seen blooming in the northern mountains. It is not only the indicator of the flower season but of many activities as well.
The public has been invited to the Floriculture Experimental Center to see the camellias that have been cultivated.
Starting Wednesday, the camellia show will commence, displaying different camellia strains and pressed flower art paintings. These paintings are also made from dry materials extracted from camellia plants.
The flower season in Yangmingshan officially takes off on the 20th of February. Officials also say that there are many cherry trees budding in the area, and that in a few weeks they will also be worth looking at.
