A Blooming Success at Flowers24hours
Celebrations are in order for all the team at Flowers24hours, We are pleased to announce that both International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day proved to be huge success and beat all time sales making March 2013 one of the best months on record.
International Womens Day and Mothers Day fell on the same weekend this year which meant a great detail or organisation and preparation had to be in place to allow the busy weekend to run as smoothly as possible.
The occasions are both very different but between them they cater to all cultures, International Women’s Day is predominantly celebrated by Eastern Europeans and the traditional is for a man to send a flower to all the women in his life, His mother, daughter, sisters, aunties and even work colleagues, Red roses and tulips have always been the favourite choice for this special day.
Our best seller this year was the classic ‘Single Red Rose’, a simple gift which shows a true sign of love, affection and friendship. Our design team created a beautiful page of gifts filled with roses and tulips in a variety of striking colours.
The British Mothering Sunday was much earlier this year and fell on March 10th, celebrated by people throughout the UK; the occasion’s shows an appreciation for mothers around the country. Spring gifts are very much the theme for this day, scented Hyacinths, daffodils, roses, freesias and lilies filled the florist room and were ready to be made into beautiful bouquets.
Our best seller this year was the pretty ‘Jane Austen’, white roses mixed with freesias and wax flower make a striking gift which is perfect for any Mother. Our Mother’s Day page was filled with colourful designs in a range of pinks, whites and purples.
We would like to thank our loyal customers for their support in helping us throughout the difficult economic times and we wish everyone the best for the upcoming year.
