The Flower Fields of Carlsbad
Most people favour Spring because of the balmy weather and beautiful blooms. North County, Carlsbad, near San Diego is especially beautiful at this time of year, when everything is in bloom.
For those who live near the city, a trip to this area is an excellent idea for something local to do for the weekend. The Flower Fields found near the Palomar Airport Road are highly recommended and are quite an amazing sight to see. There are millions of multicoloured flowers spread over 50 acres of land beside the ocean.
It could almost be considered the eight wonder of the world with visitors from around the world planning their vacations just to see this sight.
While visiting this attraction there are several other places that are good idea to visit, too: the All American Rose garden, hosting about 170 varieties of roses; the largest American flag made of flowers; and the Paul Ecke Ranch displaying the famous poinsettia.
